The Founder of Universal Help Hub (UHH), Mr. Md. Mujahidul Islam, is a
visionary leader and dedicated volunteer who has embraced volunteering as a
lifelong commitment. Since childhood, he envisioned a world free of
discrimination, poverty, violence, and full of health, peace, and justice. To realize
this vision, he established a voluntary organization called Krondan with his friends
in 2007, at the young age of 16. The organization's goal was to alleviate the
suffering of the underprivileged and helpless. However, on November 21, 2016,
the organization was renamed Universal Help Hub because the name Krondan was
difficult for many people, both domestically and internationally. Under Mr. Islam's
dynamic leadership, UHH has operated with a global perspective from its inception
and has become a trusted organization within the country.
Mr. Islam earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Public
Administration Department at Dhaka University. He later obtained a Master of
Science degree in Climate Change, Development, and Policy from the University of Sussex, UK, in 2023. Alongside his volunteering efforts, he entered academia to
improve the living standards of underprivileged people and promote sustainable
leadership through research. Currently, he serves as an assistant professor in the
Public Administration Department at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, a
prestigious public university in Bangladesh. He has published numerous research
articles in renowned journals on topics such as climate governance, disaster
management, good governance, women's rights, and public health governance. Mr.
Islam is married and has a daughter.
