Universal Help Hub (UHH) is a non-profit and
non-government organization. It is a registered organization in Bangladesh by the Department of
Social Services (D-09375) & the NGO Affairs Bureau (Reg. No: 3168), under the Hon’ble Prime
Minister’s Office. The organization was founded in 2016 by a group of humanitarian youth. Since
its inception, UHH has been working to promote the quality of life of underprivileged,
marginalized and excluded people through various humanitarian and empowerment programs. By
promoting voluntarism and creating community leaders, UHH is firmly committed to the creation of
a peaceful and equitable world without violence.
To achieve above objectives, UHH is carrying out the following projects. The projects are Health
Advocacy & Free Medical Camp (HAFMC), Health Advocacy & Depression Management (HADM), Health
Advocacy & Menstrual Hygiene (HAMH), Community Leadership for Empowerment & Peace (CLEP),
Emergency Relief Project (ERP), Scholarship for Underprivileged Students (SUS), Zakat for Small
Enterprise (ZSE) and Care for Environment & Ecology (CEE).To compile and implement these
projects, UHH has emphasized on sustainable development goals, different directions of the
constitution of Bangladesh and various strategies and visions of the government. The following
goals SDGs, No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Good Heath & well-Being, Quality Education, Sustainable
Cites & Communities, Climate Action, Life Below Water, Life on Land and Peace, Justice and
Strong Institutions, are appended in UHH’s actions and strategies.
Equity & Impartiality:The UHH is committed to ensuring equal rights for all, irrespective of religion, caste, region and ethnography. The UHH wants to build a world of equal rights through positive discrimination.
Well-being and peace:The UHH seeks to build a healthy and peaceful world free from poverty, disease and violence.
Integrity:UHH will continuously practice integrity in the formulation and implementation of its all action plans. It pledges not to compromise with any dishonesty hypocrisy.
Empowerment:The UHH has adopted some action plans that will make it easier for the privileged people to be aware and confident about their rights. Through this process, the disadvantaged people will have a greater right to control and manage their lives.
Community DevelopmentUHH has taken some steps through which community members will be empowered and enabled to come together in taking collective action, generate solutions to their common problems, foster social inclusion and equality.
Sustainability:UHH formulates and implements all of its work plans in a way that will meet the needs of the current generation without compromising the needs of future generations.
Good governance:The UHH will remain firmly committed to good governance in all its activities through ensuring accountability, transparency, participation of stakeholders and inclusive policies and actions.
UHH aims to be a Universal Humane Centre to build a healthy, prosperous and peaceful world which will be free from discrimination, poverty, diseases and violence.
UHH aims to provide basic rights specially health and education facilities to those who are usually out of reach of government and NGO initiated development program. UHH firmly believes that a healthy, educated and empowered nation can build a healthy and prosperous world breaching the vicious cycle of poverty, disease and violence.
UHH is respectful of Bangladesh’s constitution and existing laws in the adoption and execution of its all plans. It is registered by the Department of Social Services (D-09375) & the NGO Affairs Bureau (Reg. No: 3168), under the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Office.
UHH is always committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in financial matters. A strong account department manages UHH’s financial affairs. UHH annually audits its all transaction from a registered audit firm of the Government of Bangladesh. Assistance or aid from various generous individuals, institutions and donors are the financial foundation of UHH since it has no income source.
UHH is devoted to work for those who usually do not have access to public and private support. All kinds of disadvantaged and helpless people are part of UHH’s target group. However, priority is given especially to vulnerable sections of society such as women, children and the elderly. Religion, race, region and ethnography are no barriers to getting the help of the UHH.
The Founder of Universal Help Hub (UHH), Mr. Md. Mujahidul Islam, is a dreamer, visionary leader and devoted volunteer. He has accepted volunteering as a vow of life. From his childhood he imagined of a discrimination free, poverty-free, violence-free, healthy, peaceful and just world. In order to make this dream come true, he formed a voluntary organization, Krondan, with his friends in 2007 at the age of only 16. The purpose of the organization was to stop crying out of the underprivileged and helpless people. But the name of the organization was renamed as Universal Help Hub on November 21, 2016, as the name of Krondan was difficult for many people, both domestic and foreign. Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Islam, the UHH has been working with a global outlook from the beginning and the organization has already become a trusted organization of the people of the country.
Mr. Islam received his bachelor’s and master’s degree from the Public Administration Department of Dhaka University. In addition to volunteering, he joined at Academia to uphold the life standard of underprivileged people and create sustainable leadership through research.
Presently, he is a lecturer in Public Administration Department of the renowned Public University of Bangladesh, Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. Various research articles on disaster management, good governance, women’s rights and public health governance have already been published in various well-known research journals. Mr. Islam is married and the father of a daughter.
